What exciting things are going on in Manningham?
- STEPS into health and employment (STEPS) Work is being led by local partners, ABL and Manningam Mills Sports Association, to help improve skills and confidence levels in those seeking employment and further training opportunities. Traineed have gone on to find jobs, volunteering opportunities or into further education. Courses last for approximately eight weeks
- Lister Mill - Velvet Mill Designed by David Morley Architects, the Velvet Mill will see the creation of over 190 homes when finished. The dramatic curved penthouse apartments will be a fine example of how combining old and new architecture can transform an already magnificent building into a modern day classic.
- Improvements to public spaces led by Bradford Councils Landscape Design Unit, work is continuing around Manningham to improve the look of the area to provide a pleasant environment for residents, businesses and visitors. Recent examples include the new Grosvenor Ground play area, and improvements to the play area at the Millan Centre and Springcliffe gardens
- Manningham Business Forum Organised by Manningham Masterplan, Bradford West Area Coordinators Office, Be-Involved and GRID*@CBC, the business forum is an opportunity for businesses in the area to talk about the issues that affect them. The Forum is held approximately every quarter and is led by a different partner each time.
